St. Catherine

St Catherine of Siena Catholic School is a faith community. We worship together and strive to live the teachings of Jesus in our relationships within the school and the community. Our daily actions are a reflection of having Jesus as the center of everything we plan and do.

As a Parish School of St Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, we benefit from the participation of the priests of the Community of the Beatitudes. We are blessed that they celebrate school liturgies with us, visit the classrooms regularly and are generally present to all our spiritual needs.

Students engage in daily prayer with their teachers. Each day begins with prayer and each student benefits from the inner focus that comes from prayer and the sense of community that comes from praying together. Daily prayer reminds us who we are and who we want to become in the world.

Faculty, students, and staff come together for school Mass every Friday throughout the school year at 9am, we encourage parents and family to join us for this Mass.

At every grade level, the faculty strives to make connections between religion and all subjects. In addition, religious instruction is an essential and required part of the curriculum.

Special liturgies and celebrations are planned throughout the year. For all saints day all the students come to Mass dressed as saints. During Holy Week, the middle school students perform the Tableau for the entire school. In May, we celebrate the May Crowning. There are also many other special celebrations throughout the year.

Catholic education addresses the development of the whole person through spiritual and academic formation based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The mission of Catholic education provides a particular environment for the New Evangelization by presenting the Gospel anew within the school and parish communities.
